Air Duct

Overview

Air duct is to be used for production of vent pipes on submarines. The field of operation is room air conditioning oil-, dust-, salt- and battery gas (H2)- residuals.

Standards

  • IKLN 6 (replaced with HDWN 40319) Round weld flanges for vent piping
  • IKLN 148 (replaced with HDWN 44022) Gaskets

Specification

  • Material : 1.4571 (X6 Cr Ni Mo Ti 17-22-2) acc. to Din 17400
  • Pressure : The vent pipes are rated for low pressure of 0 bar

Connection In Piping System

  • Flanges : acc. To IKLN 6(replaced with HDWN 40319)
  • Gaskets : acc. To IKLN 148(replaced with HDWN 44022)
  • High-tensile screws made of 1.4436k-80

    • * Pipes are connected with the aid of welded-in flanges acc. To IKLN 6(replaced with HDWN 40319) or with pipe couplings.

Surface Treatment

Pipes are sandblasted on the outside and acidified/pickled internally to remove the tempering tarnish.
