Submarine

Woojung Marine provides a range of equipment specifically for submarines. Dedicated teams deliver the systems and support for the Navy’s submarine, while others are developing a growing range of weapon systems and services for international markets.

Vent Flap

A vent is arranged at the highest spot of the main ballast tanks 1, 2, 3 and 4 to permit venting. This vent is closed by a venting flap. The venting flaps of the main ballast tanks are actuated by the hydraulic drive, which is linked by rods and spindle drive with the venting flaps. During failure of the hydraulic system, the venting flaps are actuated manually.

Messenger Buoy

Salvaging of ship-wrecks is attended with many problems, one of which is the attachment of lifting-pads which may be done by either hard-hat or scuba divers. It is, therefore, desirable that tools and other items that he is required to handle be neutrally buoyant. It is necessary, in particular with reference to messenger buoys, to have them neutrally buoyant while being handled around the submerged wreck, etc.

Anchoring and Warping System

Anchor assembly

The anchor assembly is, with the exception of the hydraulic motors and the switch gear located in the free-flooding room of the forecastle. The anchor is held mid ships below the torpedo tubes in the anchor pocket. The anchor closes up flush with the submarine's bottom. The anchor position display indicates by the horizontal position of the anchor pocket.

Warp assembly

The warp assembly consists of a warp capstan fore and a warp capstan rear with removable capstan head. The driving pipe for the capstan head fore is always engaged with the drive of anchor winch.
