Mooring & Gear System

4-Point Mooring system

Overview

The Four-Point Mooring System consist of components and hardware necessary to assemble four identical mooring legs. Each leg consists of an anchor, anchor chain, wire ropes, mooring buoy, crown buoy, and rigging hardware. In addition, the system contains two optional anchor billboards to secure the anchors during transit and to deploy them at the salvage site. The Beach Gear System is used in conjunction with the Four-Point Mooring System.

Beach Gear System

Overview

The Beach Gear System is made up of two ground legs, two puller assemblies and a hydraulic power unit. The Beach Gear System is designed to provide pulling capacity for extracting ships that have run aground. Each ground leg consists of an anchor, anchor chain, two wire baskets for shipping components, wire rope, and rigging. The holding power of each leg of the system is dependent upon the type of anchor supplied and bottom conditions, with maximum capacity rated at 100,000 pounds per leg.
